The “Lorax” shows great stewardship from the moment he introduces himself as the guardian of the forest, “I-I'm the Lorax! Guardian of the forest. I speak for the trees.”-The Lorax Movie (2012). He introduced himself when he was summoned by a tree being cut down by the evil Once-ler. The Lorax shows stewardship by being worried by the effects of the Once-lers actions on the environment “A tree falls the way it leans. Be careful which way you lean.”-The Lorax Movie (2012). Throughout the whole movie the Lorax showed stewardship by trying to help the animals and trees even when it seemed all was lost. The Lorax is a great steward, even when all his efforts appear pointless.

Another way the Lorax shows his stewardship is by trying to convince the Once-ler to stay sustainable and reduce his eco-footprint. The Lorax tries to convince the Once-ler to use sustainable methods in the production of a multi-purpose item called a thneed. The Lorax tries to influence the Once-ler in such a way that he is encouraged to use sustainable methods to produce the thneeds. The Lorax also encourages the Once-ler to reduce his eco-footprint by showing the effects of the production wastes on the wildlife. The Lorax shows his stewardship throughout the whole movie
